A three course gourmet breakfast is served each morning. You will be asked what time you would like it. Breakfast is available weekdays from 7:30 to 9:30 am and weekends 8:00 to 9:30 am. Breakfast is innkeepers pick, but sure to please.
Service begins with a choice of fruit juices including V8 with lemon. Accompanied by our first class gourmet Columbian coffee and a selection of fine teas. For those cold days hot chocolate with vanilla whip cream and topped with shaved chocolate. Ice tea with lemon and mint is always available as well.
Following beverage service, fresh seasonal fruit with refreshing sorbet, flavored yogurts with fruit and topped with homemade maple nut granola. Entrees vary day to day between sweet and savory such as spinach and cheese souffle, apple and brie french toast, or our popular cinnamon waffle topped with fried ice cream. Entrees are accompanied by a breakfast meat, skillet potatoes, or cheesy bacon grits and daily offering of baked goods such as baked bread and muffins, warm cinnamon rolls, homemade biscuits, sour cream coffee cake, or cranberry 'n' orange scones. Our highly requested flan bread pudding with caramel coffee syrup. On the lighter side you can request our creamy oatmeal with cinnamon, dates, almonds, and brown sugar, homemade maple nut granola cereal, low-carb pumpkin seed bread toasted with low fat mascarpone cheese and jam.
For guests needing early check-out, a to-go breakfast can be provided.
Afternoon brings good conversation. It's a good time to meet other guests while enjoying a complimentary glass of wine and cheeses around a warm fireplace, and for those warm days the expansive front porch is the perfect spot for a chilled glass of ice tea infused with mint and lemon.
